Artistic Direction
SCPO has a twofold artistic direction. Its first objective is to contribute through public performances
to the development of Australian music. These performances will show the richness, quality and diversity
of the works of
Australian composers and will assist in fostering a stronger Australian identity.
The Australian composers will be presented
within a framework of international compositions.
The second objective is to create a platform for young performers and conductors.
